Topics covered include Introduction and bark beetles, Terminal root and shoot-infesting pests, cone and seed feeders, defoliators, sucking insects, vertebrate pests, stress factors and declines, root and butt rots and wood decay, cankers, foliage diseases and vascular wilts, and weeds in forest pest control. This course is approved by the NJDEP as a recertification course.
NOTE: The NJDEP allows you to take up to 25% of your recertification credits in each category in a Distance Learning format EXCEPT for applicators due 10/31/2021 and 10/31/2022. These applicators are allowed to take 100% of their recertification credits online.
This course is online. All that is required is an internet connection and an email address. True/False quizzes are given at the end of each section to enhance the student’s learning. This course is narrated and self-paced, with high quality images of insect and animal species as well as equipment.
