This course is designed to allow commercial and public applicators in the District of Columbia to earn 8 Recertification Hours in Category 7B: INDUSTRIAL, INSTITUTIONAL, STRUCTURAL AND HEALTH RELATED PEST CONTROL: WOOD DESTROYING ORGANISM and 4 Recertification Hours in 11E: Wood Preservation. 

Topics covered include Tim-Bor and Bora-Care label review and target pests, wood boring beetles and decay fungi, impel rods, the Hexpro system, Labryinth termite bait, and others.

This course has been designed in a Distance Learning format and approved by the District Department of the Environment as a recertification course. NOTE: As per the DDE, you cannot repeat a Distance Learning course in a recertification cycle. If you are not sure if you have taken this course, please call PESTED and we will check your account history. It is an online course. True/False quizzes are given at the end of each section to enhance the student’s learning. This course is narrated and self-paced.

Students will be able to print their certificate after sending their completion e-mail at the end of the course. Students will be able to print their certificates up until December 31st. If you need a certificate for courses taken in a previous cycle please call or e-mail us. If we do not receive the completion e-mail after course completion your credits will not be reported to the state.
