This course is designed to allow Commercial Applicators AND Registered Technicians to earn Full Recertification credits in Category 1A: AGRICULTURAL PLANT CONTROL, and REGISTERED TECHNICIAN (60), for those applicators working in the appropriate Category (1A) as a technician.

Topics covered include following label directions, federal laws and penalties, state laws and applicator responsibility, pesticide interaction in crops and weeds, common weeds, biotic vs abiotic, the disease pyramid, organic field crop production, crop rotation, pesticide drift, and heat stress.

This course has been designed in a Distance Learning format and approved by the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services as a recertification course. NOTE: As per the VDA, you can use this course for your full recertification credits in your two year cycle. True/False quizzes are given at the end of each section to enhance the student’s learning. This course is narrated and self-paced, with high quality images of insect and animal species as well as equipment. PESTED will report your credits to the state as soon as you finish the course.
