This course is designed to allow Commercial Applicators and Registered Technicians to earn Full Recertification credits in Category 3A: EXTERIOR ORNAMENTAL PEST CONTROL, and 3B: TURF PEST CONTROL, and REGISTERED TECHNICIAN (60), for those applicators working in the appropriate Category (3A and 3B) as a technician.

Topics covered include following label directions, federal laws and penalties, state laws and applicator responsibility, fall and spring diseases, summertime diseases, turf insects, weeds, worker protection standard, integrated pest management, injury to plants, insects and arthropods, foliar alternatives, filling and mixing, and protecting water.

This course has been designed in a Distance Learning format and approved by the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services as a recertification course. NOTE: As per the VDA, you can use this course for your full recertification credits in your two year cycle.  True/False quizzes are given at the end of each section to enhance the student’s learning. This course is narrated and self-paced, with high quality images of insect and animal species as well as equipment. PESTED will report your credits to the state as soon as you finish the course.
