This course is designed to allow Michigan Commercial, Private, and Registered Applicators to earn 4 Recertification Credits in Category 1A: FIELD CROPS, Category 1B: VEGETABLE CROPS, Category 1C: FRUIT CROPS,  COMMERCIAL CORE or PRIVATE CORE. If you have both a Private and Commercial license you MUST CHOOSE which category you want your credit(s) in. Whether it be PRIVATE CORE, COMMERCIAL CORE, or Category 1A, you can choose only one. This course has been designed in a Distance Learning format and approved by the MDARD as a recertification course.

This course covers the following materials: concepts in weed control, herbicide formulations, soil applied herbicides, pesticide interaction in crops and weeds, common weeds, biotic vs abiotic, the disease pyramid, organic field crop production, crop rotation, pesticide drift, protecting water, heat stress.

NOTE: As per MDARD, you cannot repeat a Distance Learning course in a recertification cycle. PESTED updates our courses annually. All that is required is an internet connection and an email address. True/False quizzes are given at the end of each section to enhance the student’s learning.
