Structural Pest Control Board Certification
California Structural Pest Control Board (SPCB) Approved Online Training and Continuing Education Courses.
PESTED has approval from the state of California (CA) to offer Structural Pest Control Board certification and recertification throughout the state. If you become an SPCB licensee, we can help.
Why Are SPCB Certifications Required?
Structural pests are pests of all kinds that cause damage to wood and other structural materials. Because this damage threatens the stability of buildings and other forms of construction, it’s important to regulate the approach to controlling and treating these infestations. In 1935, California passed a bill that created the Structural Pest Control Board (SPCB) in order to serve this purpose.
The board certifies and licenses structural pest control providers in order to protect the residents, structures, and environment of California. Certification and licensing ensure that pest managers use proper methods and take the necessary precautions as they perform structural pest control work. This ensures that structures stay safe and prevents the use of methods that harm the environment.
