Structural Pest Control & Pesticide Division (SPCAP) CCUs

North Carolina Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services Structural Pest Control and Pesticide Division (SPCAP) approved online continuing education credits.

All Certified and Licensed Applicators are on a 5-year recertification cycle. All Continuing Certification Units are due by June 30th.

• Licensees and Non-commercial Certified Applicators must earn at least one CCU in at least 4 years, of the 5-year recertification period.
• Commercial Certified Applicators must earn at least one required CCU in at least 3 years, of the 5-year recertification period.
• Licensees who hold an inactive license would follow the same guidelines listed above for recertification.

Recertification Requirements by Phases

• 1 Phase: 10 CCU’s required. 5 CCU’s must be specific to the phase recertification is needed.
• 2 Phases: 15 CCU’s required. 5 CCU’s must be specific to each of the two phases in which recertification is needed.
• 3 Phases: 20 CCU’s required. 5 CCU’s must be specific to each of the three phases.
