Certified Applicator Continuing Education Requirements:
- Structural applicators must complete two CEUs in general training and one in each category in which the applicator is certified.
- Of the two general category units, at least one must be in federal and state laws, pesticide safety, environmental protection, or integrated pest management.
Certified Applicator Renewal Deadline:
- CEUs must be completed the previous calendar year (Jan 1 – Dec 31) to be eligible to renew. For example, if you renew at any time in 2026, you must have taken your CEUs during the calendar year 2025
- No course may be repeated for credit within the same recertification year
- CEUs may be obtained through a self-study or Internet course every other year
Technician Continuing Education Requirements and Renewal Deadline:
- The technician must complete 8 hours of verifiable training for the preceding calendar year running from January 1 to December 31 preceding the renewal date.
- No additional training will be required in the first calendar year in which a technician is first licensed.
- Internet training may be used if the certified applicator certifies that the training is the appropriate training.
- No courses may be repeated for credit within the same recertification year.
