8 HOURS: CORE EXAM RE-TRAINING

Description

This course is designed for applicants who have failed the New York State Core Examination twice and wish to re-take the exam. Under Part 325.11(e) you cannot re-take the exam unless you have taken 8 Hours of Core training covering ALL TOPICS in section 325.18. This course is approved by the NYSDEC and covers ALL TOPICS in part 325.18. 

This course covers the following materials: Pesticide Applicator Certification, State Laws and Regulations, Federal Pesticide Laws, Toxicity of Pesticides, Ecological and Environmental Concerns, Personal Protection for the Applicator, Symptoms of Pesticide Poisoning, First Aid, IPM, Pests, Types of Pesticides, The Label, Formulation, Filling and Mixing, Equipment, Weather-wis Applications, Disposal, Storage, Record keeping & Liability, Crop Hazards, and Protecting Water.

NOTE: Core training not covering ALL areas of Part 325.18 is incomplete and may not be acceptable by the NYSDEC for re-examination. This course is available 24/7. True/False quizzes are given at the end of each section to enhance the student’s learning. This course is narrated and self-paced, with high quality images of insect and animal species as well as equipment.
