Description

This course is designed to assist California Pest Professionals to sit for and pass their state initial licensing exam to add Category I: Animal Agriculture to their Qualified Applicator Certificate (QAC) or Qualified Applicator License (QAL). This online course covers material related to ANIMAL AGRICULTURE. It is self-paced, and narrated with high quality images of insects, animal species, and equipment. It is approximately 11 hours long, and is a self-paced tool to prepare students for their California Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR) exam.

This is NOT an eligibility course, continuing education course, exam, or recertification program. You will not receive any credits (CEUs) for this course. Quizzes are given to enhance the student’s learning and be retaken at anytime for review.

  • Pest Identification, Proper Pesticide Use, Birds of Prey, Wildlife Pests, Chewing and Sucking Lice, Controlling Rodents Around the Farm, Controlling Fleas, Flies Affecting Livestock, Managing Mosquitoes on the Farm and Livestock, Mites and Ticks of Livestock, Pesticides, Application Equipment and Calibration, Environmental Hazards of Pesticide Applications, Protecting People and the Environment, and Ecological Principles in Pest Management.

Once you have completed this course and are ready to take your QAC/QAL exam you must reach out to the California DPR to schedule your DPR Licensing Exam. Exam applications are available on the DPR’s Website here. You may also schedule an exam by calling the DPR Licensing department at 916-445-4038. Please keep in mind that you must file your application with DPR at least 30 days prior to the testing date you’d like to apply for.
